杰西卡·罗森

杰西卡·罗森女爵士（Professor Dame Jessica Rawson），英国考古学家、汉学家。现为牛津大学副校长（2006-），牛津大学墨顿学院院长（1994-），中国艺术与考古教授（2000-），英国学术院院士（Fellow of the British Academy）。罗森教授1943年出生于英国，毕业于剑桥大学与伦敦大学亚非学院，1976-1994年间担任大英博物馆东方部代理主任与主任，曾是大英图书馆（the British Library）董事会成员。1994年被选为牛津大学墨顿学院院长，成为该学院成立七百多年来的第一位女院长。2002年因对东方学研究的贡献被授予高级英帝国女勋爵士（Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire）头衔。罗森教授的学术研究领域为中国艺术与考古，尤其是商周青铜器与汉代墓葬。

人物简介

杰西卡·罗森(Jessica Rawson)教授在大英博物馆工作二十余年，长期 担任大英博物馆东方古物部主任，1994年后又执教于牛津大学中国艺术与考 古专业教授，是目前中国艺术与考古领域最为活跃的西方学者之一。自从学 生时代起，她就致力于通过物质文化来研究古代中国。在过去三十五年的学 术生涯中，她试图了解常出土于墓葬中的青铜器、玉器及其他工艺品是如何 被使用的，从而进一步去理解这些器物的制作造者的技艺、生活和信仰。
